Welcome to the regional page for the Bay Area region of the California Association for the Gifted (CAG). The Bay Area region includes the San Francisco, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, and San Mateo counties.
Regional Representatives: About Us
Gretchen Stanerson is excited to be in her third year as the Bay Area Educator Representative. Gretchen is an educator at Synapse School in Menlo Park. She has experience working with underrepresented populations, early childhood, gifted education, and has been an educator for seventeen years. Gretchen has collaborated on the Leave Your Sleep for Education ® project with the Gifted Support Center.
Membership in CAG supports advocacy efforts for gifted students in the state legislature, continued educator training opportunities, direct access to the Gifted Educator Communicator, and discounted conference fees.
CAG Regional Meetings
CAG Regional Meetings provide opportunities for administrators, educators, parents, and policymakers to gather to discuss gifted education in response to the diverse social, emotional, and intellectual needs in their region of California.
